Highcroft Community Centre (485 Slade Rd, Birmingham B23 7JG) hosts regular Friday morning adult learn-to-ride sessions and gentle introductory led rides in association with British Cycling – ‘Ride Active’.

All sessions are free and bikes, helmets, hi-viz, etc are provided for those who don’t have them.  The learn-to-ride sessions are led by Peter, one of Birmingham’s most experienced cycle instructors, and start at 9:30am.  They are ideal for anyone who can’t ride, hasn’t ridden for ages or just feels a bit unconfident.  To book a place please go to www.LetsRide.co.uk, put “B23 7JG” into the search box  and look for the sessions entitled “Ride Active – Highcroft – Learn To Ride / Skills Improvement”

The led rides are an ideal introduction to those not used to riding in the area.  They start at 10:45am and take in the beautiful Brookvale Park and part of the North Birmingham Cycling and Walking Route.  Rides tend to be under five miles, go at a gentle pace and no one gets left behind.  Peter, our qualified leader, is well known for the amount of encouragement and support that he gives riders.  To book a place please go to www.LetsRide.co.uk, put “B23 7JG” into the search box  and look for the sessions entitled “Ride Active – Highcroft – Led Rides”
